Terms of Service
Last updated: 25 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the mapd website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service
mapd is a pre-launch service that shows what people in Dubai are ordering and lets you join a waitlist for the upcoming app. The Service is provided on an early, evolving basis and features may change, pause, or be removed at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit unlawful, abusive, infringing, or misleading content.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
- Scrape, copy, or harvest data except as expressly permitted.
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
We may remove content or restrict access if we believe these Terms have been violated.
User submissions
When you submit content (for example, a wishlist entry), you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant mapd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and use it to operate and improve the Service. Submitted content may be moderated before it appears publicly.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, branding, and content (excluding user submissions and third-party materials), belongs to mapd and is protected by applicable laws. You may not use our branding without permission.
Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party providers (including Mapbox, Tally, Supabase, and Vercel). Your use of those features may be subject to the providers' own terms, and we are not responsible for their services.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Trend data is informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate; do not rely on it as professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, mapd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
